Dennis Prager Visits Japan, Asks Why Crime Is Low

Dennis Prager, right-wing writer, and radio talk host have drawn a lot of ire from most of the people in the press a couple of times. The most recent of which occurred when Dennis, who is a devoted Jew has repeatedly stated that there is a battle on the day of Christmas. However, concerning the discussion of migration, we are oblivious to whether Dennis has ever been concerned or moved enough to want to care about the migrants. As a matter of fact, Terry Anderson, who is currently deceased, had a talk show on radio that aired every Sunday evening in Los Angeles and he was always in the matter of migration and how it affected us all. Terry once said of Dennis that he (Dennis) had refused him a meeting even though they both worked in the same radio station on KRLA-AM. But Dennis seems to have had a change of heart, which we all have expected for some time now, as he is a dedicated person with a solid follower background. In a write-up written by him on the 28th February, he said:” I am authoring this piece from the nation of Japan, a nation with the lowest crime rate in the entire world. When I asked my companion, a Japanese woman, why it is so. I said “Why is there so little criminal activity in the nation?” without prior thinking or deep reflection; she immediately answered “Simple. Because we do not allow migration.” Anyone who has been to the country of Japan would be fascinated by the homogeneity that can be experienced in that nation. If you meet a white man, an African or a Mexican or Hispanic in Japan, you can bet your bottom dollar that they are either there for vacation, study or business. We began to think if Dennis’ head had hit the floor hard, or probably exploded a little bit when the woman uttered the sentence “Simple. Because we do not allow migration.” This is not a new thing, though. Japan has always detested migrants as citizens of the country. They do not let it. Dennis continued his writing by saying: Just like in Japan, there is a direct relationship between ethnic uniqueness and a low occurrence of criminal activities. Statistics taken from all states show the states with the lowest level of criminal activities are: 1.    Vermont – 95% population is white 2.    New Hampshire – 94% population is white. 3.    Maine – 95% population is white. 4.    Wyoming – 93% population is white. Pakistan Focusing to Reform its Tourism Industry

After Pakistan planned to reform its tourism industry, it can already see changes. The government recently announced that it will allow citizens of 24 countries to enter Pakistan on a visa-on-arrival basis. These 24 countries include Singapore, South Korea, the United States, and France. According to the government, visa-on-arrival is a huge incentive for international tourists to visit a country. Ever since 2013, international tourists have tripled reaching a total of 1.75 million in 2016. Out of this, around 30 to 38 percent are domestic tourists. In 2016, the Pakistan tourism sector contributed a total of $19.4 billion to the country’s economy. The board expects to increase it to $36.1 billion. Yahya Polani, former chairman of the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan, said that visa-on-arrival is a small step towards improving some serious aspects of the tourism industry. He said that the next step is to change the people’s mindset. Things aren’t as bad as they read in the newspapers. And sadly, the government never worked towards improving the image. In an ideal situation, one out of every four visitors should be international tourists. Currently, there is a high number of expats returning or people who work in the Middle East and come to Pakistan for the holidays. Types of tourism Majorly, Pakistan has two types of tourists. One comes to visit the northern mountains, and other is the religious group. It has the historic Gurdwara in Nankana Sahib, where Sikhs come to offer their prayers. Pakistan is also the home to Gandhara kingdom, now known as the southern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, which is a religious Buddhist site. Foreign tourists from Europe, Canada, and the US visit for trekking as Pakistan has five out of the 12 highest mountains in the world. A single trip to K2 Mountain costs $70,000, so promoting it is necessary. Source link

South Korea New Rules Attracts Intl Students

In the recent years, South Korea has become an ideal destination for international students to study, especially those from Asia. International students have to acquire the D-4-1 visa aka student visa to study in the Asian nation. However, the Justice Ministry announced that rules will be tightened after they review them in March 2018. According to the new rules, international students who have only 70 percent or lesser attendance in two consecutive semesters or 50 percent of lesser attendance in one semester will not be eligible to extend their student visas. Also, students that have longer vacation periods will only be eligible for a one-month extension. The rules were tightened because many people continue to work illegally in South Korea after their visa expires. Stricter rules mean there will be stricter checks as well, so these international students won’t dare to stay in the country after the visa expiry. D-2-7 visa Also, it would be challenging for people who come on short-term visas to get transferred on a student visa after coming to South Korea. The country released a list of 21 countries that won’t be allowed to convert short-term visa into study visa. On the other hand, the South Korean government will be extending the D-2-7 visa, one of the most privileged visas offered by the country. International skilled labor or students get the visa that allows them to work and study in South Korea. They can either be engineering students or have a full scholarship and a recommendation letter from the university president. As of now, government-sponsored students only receive this visa. Some of the top universities in South Korea include Korea University, Yonsei University, and Seoul National University. South Korea totally wins against Singapore and Japan as the tuition fees and cost of living is a lot lower than the other countries. Source link

Israeli Embassies Can’t Process Visas Due to Staff Shortage

Israel suffers from a major skilled labor shortage and therefore, announced in 2015, that it will open doors to non-Israeli techies. But the government hasn’t worked in attracting those techies because the country’s embassies are too understaffed to process visas. In February 2018, the government of Israel announced that it had started a 12-month tech visa that allows experienced foreign tech workers come to the country for as experts. But the tech visa is active only on the papers the government has enough personnel to approve visa applications. According to an immigration attorney, there is only one manager who approves the application, thereby creating a huge backlog. Hazan specializes in work visas and immigration. He can ask for more money to help applicants get the visa approved, but that doesn’t help anyone. One of Hazan’s clients said that it isn’t good enough to open the doors for hi-tech professional workers and then making applicants wait for two to three months. Israel launched another visa regime on January 1, 2018, that has a validity of 63 months, but it is delayed too. To be eligible for the second type of visa, applicants have to apply online and are expected to get the visa approved within a few days. There is only one condition, which is that the applicant must be earning at least $5,700 monthly. Spouses can come along with the visa holders on a dependent visa. Eran Shir, CEO, and co-founder, Nexar, said that despite the shortcomings, it is easier to get Israeli work visa than the US H1B visa under Trump’s rule. A major shortage of tech workers It is predicted that Israel will face a shortage of 10,000 tech workers in the coming decade and if not fulfilled, might have severe consequences. There are 300 multinational firms and 4,000 startups in Israel, which means there are a lot of vacancies but not enough people to take them up. Source link
